A bald eagle - with gold and platinum highlights - on an 1877 Sharps rifle

The sideplate of an 1877 Sharps rifle made by the Axtell Rifle Company of Sheridan, Montana. The beak, eye, and feet of the eagle are gold inlays. The white head and tail feathers are of platinum.
